One thing I absolutely love about being a newborn, family and child photographer is I get to see my babies sometimes multiple times a year! This little man was one of my 2017 newborns and I was SO happy to see his whole family for his momentous 1st Birthday!
This is a huge milestone and I always say its just as a milestone for mom and dad! You MADE IT one year! Somehow all the sleep depravity, spit up, long, so very long days, and so much learning is getting a bit easier. I love to take advantage of the entire family and do a few family portraits. Why not? We had the most dreamy golden light in the late afternoon and we shot a Liberty Marina in Clarksville.
Happy Birthday, Micah!!
I had the privilege of photographing Emily and Vincent’s Wedding in December. When we had our creative consultation back during the summer, I was ecstatic to learn the theme…The Carnival! Since this was my last wedding of 2013, I had high hopes for it. I have to say that I along with all the guests were not disappointed! Every detail, which I’ll share just a portion below, were perfect in every way. I felt as I was walking into the carnival I remember as a child. There were so many sentimental moments that made the day so much more special. I wanted to share just a few of my favorites and many details for Emily, Vincent and their truly wonderful family. I hope you all enjoy seeing these as much as I did photographing and editing!
Emily and Vincent, thank you for choosing me to capture these priceless memories ♥

Some of you may have heard about The Olivia Act… “The Olivia Act named after one of the children killed in Newtown, was started by a photographer who wishes to be anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken by a professional photographer just a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken…”
After learning of this wonderful act of kindness, I decided I would like to participate in this and give back some. This is a wonderful cause and I can’t think of a better way to honor the lives lost in Newtown than offering another family a chance at holding onto priceless memories. I will be participating in this act by giving away one hour long session to a family in need. Along with the session, the family will receive a DVD of all edited images. However, I need YOUR HELP to find the lucky family. I would like you to nominate a family that you feel is deserving. Please email a brief paragraph about the family to Lisa@LisaAuthier.com with the subject “The Olivia Act.” The family must be in the Clarksville TN area or surrounding area. All submissions are due March 31st and the winner will be notified on April 5th. The chosen family will be emailed privately as will the person that nominated them. Thank you so much and please share this post so others will have the opportunity to nominate.
