One thing I absolutely love about being a newborn, family and child photographer is I get to see my babies sometimes multiple times a year! This little man was one of my 2017 newborns and I was SO happy to see his whole family for his momentous 1st Birthday!
This is a huge milestone and I always say its just as a milestone for mom and dad! You MADE IT one year! Somehow all the sleep depravity, spit up, long, so very long days, and so much learning is getting a bit easier. I love to take advantage of the entire family and do a few family portraits. Why not? We had the most dreamy golden light in the late afternoon and we shot a Liberty Marina in Clarksville.
Happy Birthday, Micah!!
I was so excited when Gina messaged me about her sweet daughter Clara’s newborn session! She was referred by another newborn client who is SUPER sweet just like Gina and Cody (Shout out to Amanda, wooo!) Sweet Clara was wide awake and ready for her lifestyle session when I arrived. When photographing a lifestyle session, there is a level of relaxation for mama and dad. We just go with the flow and get meaningful real life moments.
We incorporated her whole nursery and some special vintage blankets that belonged to Clara’s mama. Its so sweet that her daughter will be able to use her same baby blanket. I just love it! Take a peek and enjoy these love filled images! These are some of my favorites.
As a Lifestyle Photographer I am so lucky to meet so many fabulous families! Every session is so different and that is what I love about it. No two sessions will always be the same. Baby M was so great for his big day. I loved watching his new parents dote on him and cuddle him as if they had known him forever. These little moments are so meaningful and priceless. Documenting these sweet tender moments are what life is all about!

I had the opportunity to participate in a fabulous styled wedding shoot last weekend that was so FUN! Some local colleagues and vendors all came together to pull this off and it was so beautiful! Thank you to all the vendors who participated and pulled the vision together. Jac Smith, of J Photography coordinated this and was a pleasure to work with! Enjoy these images, I know there are more than my usual, I can’t help myself AND be sure to scroll to see all the vendors info below!

As a birth photographer getting a call or text at 3:30 in the morning isn’t out of the norm AT ALL! In fact, I love it! The adrenaline of knowing I am being trusted to capture truly the most precious miracle will wake me right up. I got to the hospital around 4:15 or so when mama was around 6-7 cm and her contractions were rhythmically coming. Every few minutes she would get in her zone and concentrate through the moment. It truly is a beautiful site to see how strong women are. Dad was also present and so helpful in coaching mom and reassuring her that she was doing great. These are a few of my faves from that day. I traveled to Ohio in November to celebrate my nephew Will J’s 7th birthday. S-E-V-E-N. I can hardly believe it really. Over the last few years he has changed from the adorable toddler to the now the cool dude in the first grade who I have to grab and take hostage for a hug!
After the party and celebrating we hopped over the Carriage Hill Park in Huber Heights to take some long overdue family portraits of my big sis and family. Loved taking these and seeing how much love is within their family.
Enjoy and love you so much, sissy! xoxo
I had the privilege of photographing Emily and Vincent’s Wedding in December. When we had our creative consultation back during the summer, I was ecstatic to learn the theme…The Carnival! Since this was my last wedding of 2013, I had high hopes for it. I have to say that I along with all the guests were not disappointed! Every detail, which I’ll share just a portion below, were perfect in every way. I felt as I was walking into the carnival I remember as a child. There were so many sentimental moments that made the day so much more special. I wanted to share just a few of my favorites and many details for Emily, Vincent and their truly wonderful family. I hope you all enjoy seeing these as much as I did photographing and editing!
Emily and Vincent, thank you for choosing me to capture these priceless memories ♥
