The Olivia Act: Free Session {Clarksville Tennessee}

Some of you may have heard about The Olivia Act… “The Olivia Act named after one of the children killed in Newtown, was started by a photographer who wishes to be anonymous. Olivia’s family had family pictures taken by a professional photographer just a short time before she was killed. Those pictures are precious and now priceless to them. Upon hearing this, this photographer was moved to give away a 30 minute family photo shoot and has challenged other photographers to do the same. We go about our daily lives and sometimes we don’t take the time or have the resources to have family photos taken…”

After learning of this wonderful act of kindness, I decided I would like to participate in this and give back some. This is a wonderful cause and I can’t think of a better way to honor the lives lost in Newtown than offering another family a chance at holding onto priceless memories.  I will be participating in this act by giving away one hour long session to a family in need. Along with the session, the family will receive a DVD of all edited images. However, I need YOUR HELP to find the lucky family. I would like you to nominate a family that you feel is deserving. Please email a brief paragraph about the family to with the subject “The Olivia Act.” The family must be in the  Clarksville TN area or surrounding area. All submissions are due March 31st and the winner will be notified on April 5th. The chosen family will be emailed privately as will the person that nominated them. Thank you so much and please share this post so others will have the opportunity to nominate.
